Watton Food Hub
Watton Food Hub is part of a network of over 20 Hubs across Norfolk that are working to ensure communities have access to affordable, healthy food and make sure no one in Norfolk goes hungry.
How does it work?
Users sign up as members and are able to purchase a range of essential foods at greatly reduced prices.
The hub can be used by anyone living in the Wayland area and is very simple to join, there is no means test or qualification.
Membership costs £1, just bring along some paperwork to confirm your address and you are good to go!

What can I buy there?
Watton Food Hub sells basic, essential food items at reduced cost. Stock is a mixture of donated food and purchased stock, the aim being to ensure that a range of basic items is always available. The hub does need to cover its running costs so that overall the income from sales must cover the cost of stock.
There is always a good range of food and household essentials including fresh and frozen foods. Fruit and vegetables are free and there is usually a range of other products that there is no charge for such as sanitary products. In 2023 and 2024 members have also been able to take advantage of a credit voucher from the Household Support Fund.
Who runs the hub?
The Hub is run by The Charlotte Harvey Trust with support from Watton Town Council and Nourishing Norfolk Network.
There has been amazing support from local volunteers who help to run the Hub when it is open and keep the shelves stocked. Local businesses have also helped with the shop set up and running, especially Belvoir! who provide regular sponsorship and amazing support with social media.
Local donations come from supermarkets and shops and from local residents, especially in the summer ‘garden glut’ season!
The Hub is open twice a week:
Tuesday 12.30pm – 2.30pm
Thursday 9.30am – 12 noon
and also on the first & third Wednesday of the month from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Watton Food Hub is proudly supported by Belvoir!
